I ask the age old question that has plagued the minds of Trekkies since the dawn of time!
Kirk or Picard?
While Kirk perhaps represents the suave side of Star Trek, what with having bedded many alien women, I still throw my lot in with Picard. He was a brilliant tactician, and constantly strove to uphold the standards of Starfleet. All in all, I think he was a far superior captain than what Kirk ever could be.
Any rebuttals?

Picard. Suave never interested me nearly so much as complicated, and the 1920’s episodes from the holideck were awesome.

Yeah, those were some pretty awesome episodes. Picard just always knew what to do, and, for me, embodied a true leader.
Also, his voice is pretty damned sexy. :”>

I haven’t been able to take Kirk seriously since I saw Shatner in Miss Congeniality. I loved the movie (yes, a guilty pleasure, sue me), but…yeah. So, Picard has an automatic win from me.

Hahaha. Yes, the movie was awesome, but it wasn’t the best fit for Shatner. Michael Caine, however, was perfect in that movie.

100% Picard! I agree about the voice – there is something rather sexy about it! Also he was a lot more *ahem* discerning than Kirk.
It probably helped that the plots from TNG were much better and that there were a lot less polystyrene boulders floating around!
