Parasol-Twirlin’ Southern Belle
Rachel Russell is a twenty-seven year old novelist seeking an agent, and whose work generally falls into the fantasy genre. She also enjoys dabbling in steampunk, science fiction, and space opera. She is an unrepentant geek who enjoys play-by-post and tabletop roleplay, and has conceived of many of her characters and story ideas through these venues.
Rachel grew up as a southern belle in Mississippi, but met her husband in the traditional manner (that is to say they met online in a chatroom). After spending several years chatting with him via chatrooms, instant messengers, and webcams, she decided she liked him enough to move to Kansas to be with him. They are now happily married with two children, who will no doubt drive her to either prematurely gray or go bald. Rachel also wishes the reader to know that she does not normally speak of herself in third person, and that she is only ever this odd a little more than half the time.
